God's Love

Romans 8:32
"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" KJV

Starting at the beginning of this verse. "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all." Wow. The God who created the whole universe, all the stars all the planets, the infinite, omnipresent God gave the one most dear to Him to save you and me. Just let that sink in a moment. Church-goers will have hopefully heard this many times, sometimes we take it for granted so chew on that for a moment. Imagine or Google pictures of Him dying of the pain He was in.

Why did Jesus die for us? Well let us start at the beginning of the Bible. God made the earth and the trees, plants, light etc. Then He made people. Everything was perfect, they had a perfect relationship with God, they had every kind of fruit possible at their fingertips. But then they messed up. Like we all do. Eve took the forbidden fruit and ate it. This eternally separated us from God, let sin enter the world which is why it is in such a mess now and meant that we will all die.

But because God loves us He didn't want us to be in this mess forever, so He sent His Son to die for us, in our place so we could go to Heaven.

All you have to do is pray to Him, ask Him for forgiveness for you sin and invite Him to be Lord of your life.

The first part of the verse deals with our eternal wellbeing. The second deals with our earthly wellbeing. "How shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" This does not mean that we will have every gadget going, that we will be rich or that we will own a mansion. It means that God will give you everything you need, and everything that is good for you to have now.

God know what is best for you. Many people say that God never answers prayer. He does, maybe not in the way you were expecting and His answer may be "not yet" or "no", this is because He has your best interests at heart. You need to trust Him
